The 2012 USA States Libertarian National Conference was held during May 2-6, 2012 in Summerlin, Nevada at the Red Rock Resort Spa and Casino. Thus, Las Vegas hosted its first presidential convention where the Libertarian Party meets at the Red Rock Resort. The Libertarian Party. one of the country’s largest third parties picks its nominee for the White House. In this convention, associates of the Libertarian Party (LP) chose the party’s nominees for President of the United States and Vice President of the United States in the 2012 general election.

Who won

Gary Johnson [Former Governor of New Mexico ]
- Won the presidential nomination on the first ballot
Jim Gray [Retired Ca state courtroom judge]
- won the vice-presidential nomination, also on the first ballot.

The conference also chose to change nearly all of the Libertarian National Committee party officials and members-at-large.
